Many people ask with sincere hearts:
“Why ask Mary to pray for us?
Doesn’t the Bible say
that Christ is the only Mediator?
Why ask the saints at all?”
The Church answers
with the faith handed down
by the Apostles:
“Jesus Christ alone
is the one Mediator
between God and mankind.
Only He saved us
through His Cross.
Only He conquered
sin and death.
Only through Him
do we receive
eternal life.”
Pre-Chorus
No one replaces Christ.
No one takes His place.
Every grace comes from God
through Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Savior.
Chorus
Christ is the one Mediator,
the eternal bridge
between God and humanity.
Yet He calls us to pray for one another, as one family united in His love. If you ask me, “Please pray for me,” are you taking glory away from Christ? Of course not! You are simply asking a fellow believer to intercede for you. In the same way, Mary and all the saints in heaven pray for the Church, while worshiping the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit alone.
Verse 2
Many people say, “Why pray to those
who have died?” But Jesus answered:
“He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Abraham lives. Isaac lives.
Jacob lives. And all who die in Christ
live forever with Him. For to God,
they are all alive.
Bridge
In Christ, there is no division.
The pilgrim Church on earth, those being purified by God’s mercy, and the glorious Church in heaven are one Body
under one Lord. The love of Christ
is stronger than death.
Verse 3
The Apostle John looked into heaven.
He saw the elders standing before the Lamb, holding golden bowls full, of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. He also saw an angel offering those prayers before the throne of God.
Scripture reveals that heaven joins
in the worship of God and in prayer
for His people.
Chorus
Christ is the one Mediator, the eternal source of our salvation. Yet He calls us
to walk together, praying for one another, until we reach the glory of heaven.
Verse 4
At Cana, Mary never sought glory for herself. Instead she said: “Do whatever He tells you.” That is why we ask for her intercession, just as a child asks a loving mother to pray for them, trusting that she will always lead us to Jesus Christ.
Final Bridge
We do not worship Mary. We do not worship the saints. Worship belongs
to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit alone. We honor those who finished the race of faith, because Christ conquered death and brought them into everlasting life.
Finale
If you are searching for the truth,
open your heart to God’s Word.
Do not reject a teaching simply because
you heard it explained differently.
Search the Scriptures. Listen to the Church that Christ founded. And allow
the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth.
Every true devotion to Mary
never ends with Mary. It always leads
to Jesus Christ, the only Savior,
the only Redeemer, and the one Mediator between God and mankind.
To Him alone be all glory, forever and ever.
Amen.
