Well it’s Sunday morn’, I’m up at dawn,

Got my boots on and my Bible drawn,

The devil tried to drag me down real low…

But I raised my hands and stomped my feet,

Said, “Jesus Christ, You’ve rescued me!”

Now I’m headin’ out to the glory show!

But the Shepherd came and brought me to His fold.

Now I don’t cuss and I don’t fight,

I pray to God and I sleep at night,

Cause heaven’s got my name in scrolls of gold!
