Guardians of Arlington

Rain falls softly on Arlington's sacred ground,

Clouds part gently, angels gather 'round.

A hero laid to rest, a nation's silent cry,

Stories of courage that will never die.

Banners wave, tears glisten in the rain,

Memories of a man who bore no shame.

Paul Ryan Penn, a name carved in time,

Serving his country, noble and fine.

Families stand with heavy hearts,

Waiting for the final part.

Angles crying, sky opening wide,

Carrying him home on angel's tide.

Let the guardians descend from the sky,

Watch over the loved ones as they say goodbye.
