Early dawn at the chapel, quiet and still

Marines stand guard, hearts they feel the chill

Fallen hero, brave and true, a brother in arms

Today we mourn, today we're torn apart

Angels hover softly, whispering their grief

Why must another hero find relief?

Echoes of the bagpipes, mournful and slow

A final farewell, we watch him go

Raise the flag high, let it catch the sky

Salute our hero, as we say goodbye

Cannon's roar, the flyover soars

Another fallen soldier, forever yours

On the hill, a father’s tears unfold

Watching his son’s story, bravery untold

From the porch, seeing sacrifice in his eyes

Holding on to hope as the plane flies by

Friday morning peace, in memories they stay

Fallen but not forgotten, we'll carry them every day
