Ashes burnin

Woke up in the cave, wings heavy as hell,

Trainer says “fight,” but I’m tired of the bell.

Breathin’ fire don’t fix the void inside,

I’m a dragon on paper, but I still can’t fly.

I’m Charizard, burnin’ down my soul,

Ash just shrugs, says “that’s rock and roll.”

Strong on the outside, empty in the core,

What’s the point of the battle when you don’t know what it’s for?

Badge after badge, yeah, I’ve torched the sky,

But victory feels hollow, I don’t know why.

The crowd screams my name like a stadium prayer,

But the silence at night is too much to bear.
