Through Your Eyes

I look in the mirror and trace every flaw,

Troubled by the failures that I just saw.

The voice in my head says I’ll never be enough,

That a heart this broken is too hard to love.

I try to stand tall but I sink with the weight

With the fear that I might make one more mistake

But You look at the pieces and see a design

You take all my darkness and teach it to shine

When I cannot love the reflection I see

You whisper the truth of who I’m to be

You heal all the hurting, replacing my fears

You change all my sorrows and dry all my tears

I’m letting go of the pain I've gone through

Now I see myself through your point of view

But You say that You see me

and You say that I'm Yours

A treasure You rescued, secure and adored

I no longer carry this heartache alone

You've taken this burden as your mercy is shone.
