Heaven's Sweet Perfume

I woke to the sweet aroma

The Holy Spirit sent to me.

It filled up all my senses,

And set my spirit free!

It's fragrance wafted through my room,

And it lingered for awhile.

It flooded me with happiness

And lit my face with a smile!

A woman washed Jesus' feet

With sweet oil and her hair-

Along with her tears as she wept.

It's aroma filled the air!

Her act of love touched Jesus,

And He accepted her great love.

He recognized her thankfulness

And she was blessed from above!

This wonderful Bible story, And the one I had in my room,

Shows love expressed from her heart

While I experienced heaven's perfume!

Two stories - filled with God's love

Both women received from on high.

Each one was filled with thankfulness,

And we see God was gloriied!
