The Valley of Sorrow

The day started out bright and sunny.

By afternoon, dark clouds filled the sky.

My heart grew heavy with confusion.

Raindrops of tears poured from my eyes.

Pain from hurt suddenly engulfed me,

And I no longer knew how to pray!

I entered the "Valley of Sorrow",

And my mind was filled with dismay!

As I struggled to call the person

Who was causing a part of my pain,

I feared I was going to lose them-

But instead, God's healing was obtained!

As we talked, Streams of Living Water

Flowed into the depths of my soul!

Then, as we shared and prayed together-

God's sweet peace and love made me whole!

Walking through this "Valley of Sorrow",

All my confusion melted away!

God restored me in that dark "Valley"

And led me into a brand new day!

Each time I walk thru that Valley

And struggle thru heartache and pain

I'll always remember Your light from above

Shines blessings with healing and change.
