The God of Abraham is full of grace,
He won’t turn from a broken place.
A heart that's crushed because of sin,
He knows the change begins within.
When sorrow’s real and true regret,
We don’t repeat what we regret.
You delight, O Lord, in hearts made new,
Not empty words, but lives made true.
You won’t reject a heart that’s torn,
You heal the soul that feels forlorn.
O God of mercy, kind and just,
We give our broken hearts in trust.
It breaks our hearts to see the pain,
Of innocence that cried in vain.
And when we harm them unaware,
Our hearts cry out in deep despair.
But justice with a touch of grace,
Can reach the hardest, darkest place.
Returning good for evil done,
Reflects the heart of Heaven’s Son.
And when we love instead of hate,
We lead the sinner to Heaven’s gate.
Truth and mercy, side by side,
Can wash the evil from inside.
You delight, O Lord, in hearts made new,
Not empty words, but lives made true.
You won’t reject a heart that’s torn,
You heal the soul that feels forlorn.
O God of mercy, kind and just,
We give our broken hearts in trust.
By truth and mercy, evil dies—
This is the way the soul will rise.
