Why do we fight, with blood on our hands,
Calling it justice, yet not understand?
The law was given, "an eye for an eye,"
But not for revenge, not to make others cry.
God doesn't delight in the wicked man's fall,
He calls us to rise, not rejoice when they crawl.
As He said through Ezekiel's cry,
"Let them turn from their ways and live—not die."
By mercy and truth, the darkness will fade,
Not by the sword or the plans we have made.
Love is the law, forgiveness the way,
To destroy all the evil without blood today.
God of Abraham, we hear Your call—
Return good for evil, and mercy for all.
We fought the virus, not those it had claimed,
Why not fight evil the very same?
Cure the heart, don't kill the soul,
Only repentance makes the broken whole.
We’ve twisted the law into endless war,
“An eye for an eye”—but we ask for more.
And evil has grown where love should have reigned,
For mercy was mocked, and truth disdained.
By mercy and truth, the darkness will fade,
Not by the sword or the plans we have made.
Love is the law, forgiveness the way,
To destroy all the evil without blood today.
God of Abraham, we hear Your call—
Return good for evil, and mercy for all.
Is there a home where no one forgives?
Can a nation of vengeance ever truly live?
We are one family from Adam’s name,
Let mercy flow and end the blame.
When we act justly and love with grace,
Truth will shine from a humble place.
And the fire of conscience will rise inside,
When offenses are covered and hearts open wide.
Let us not repay with wrath and fire,
But let God judge, and lift us higher.
Forgive as we forgive ourselves each day,
Love our neighbor, walk in His way.
So pray for the strength to do what is right,
To bless the curse and shine the light.
Like David did when rocks were thrown—
He chose the path of grace alone.
By mercy and truth, the darkness will fade,
Not by the sword or the plans we have made.
Let love fulfill every law and command,
Return good for evil, and take a stand.
God of Abraham, You hear our cry—
Help us forgive, and lift us high.
Lord, make Your instructions my delight,
That I may endure every trial, every night.
And with each wound, let grace arise—
Mercy and truth will open the skies.
every night.
And with each wound, let grace arise—
Mercy and truth will open the skies.
