Voice of Love

There's a storm inside my soul, a thousand voices cry

Anger whispers vengeance, sadness starts to sigh

I hear them in my mind, but they rise from my heart

So I pause, I listen deep… to know which one I should trust

The voice of pride is loud, it says “You deserve it all”

Jealousy pretends it's love, but it's building up a wall

Possessiveness sounds caring, ego hides as pain

And I get lost in feelings, like a beast I can't restrain

But the Voice of Love is silent, at first it speaks no word

I keep still, I wait in faith, till its whispering is heard

It shows me grace, and mercy, what I’d once ignored

That my neighbor helped me stand when my soul was feeling torn

So I choose the voice of love, though it's quiet, it's enough

And I follow not my feelings, but The Bible from above

When I stopped The Bible, I lost my sight within

Confused the wrong for right, I let the noise rush in

Thought judgment was a helping hand, and help was just a lie

Let others lead me blindly till my spirit ran dry

But The Bible is my mirror, it shows me who I am

Not just dust and shifting winds, but a soul held in His hands

I learned to differentiate, to test each voice with care

To find the fruits of heaven — peace, gentleness, and prayer

‘Cause the Voice of Love is silent, but when it speaks, it's gold

It reminds me of the cross, and the strength of self-control

Not a slave to every feeling, not a prisoner to the storm

But a servant of The Bible, where true wisdom is born

So I choose the voice of love, though it's silent, it's enough

I walk by faith, not by sight, with the fire of gentle trust

Psalm one-one-one, verse ten — it's the path where I begin

“The fear of God is wisdom”… and the faithful shall win

Thanks to Israel for the Light, that shines when I can't see

Without The Bible’s truth and love, how foolish I would be
