The Bible bids us love the Lord,
With heart and soul, in full accord,
With all your understanding deep,
And strength in full for all our days. We tend to love what loved ones do,
And hate what hurts their spirits too.
So if we love the Lord above,
We’ll hate the things He can't approve. If one hates evil for God's sake,
Would they more evil then create?
Of course not—love would never do
What harms the heart or twists what's true.
So if you love the Lord above,
Return with good, not hate, but love. To do what's good when you are hurt,
You must forgive and not return.
The Bible says, let wrongs be past—
That's how love grows and how it lasts.
So choose to love and to forgive,
To love the Lord by how you live.
Let not the praise of men decide
The path of mercy, love, or pride.
Like Jacob said, so firm, so true:
"My reward is God's, not man's to do."
So if you love the Lord above,
Show grace, show peace, and walk in love.
The wisdom in this song is sweet,
Like honey fresh and fine to eat.
But walking in its ways is tough,
For choosing humble hearts is rough.
When pride is strong and times are hard,
We need to pray and drop our guard.
The Bible says—God sees inside,
Not just our steps, but hearts we hide.
King David prayed with earnest plea:
“Make my heart upright, pure in Thee.”
So we must ask with honest voice,
To make the upright path our choice.
For when our hearts are true and kind,
God grants us peace and rest of mind.
He gives us more than we could dream,
Even while we sleep, it seems.
So ask to live with justice clear,
With mercy, love, and gentle cheer.
To answer hate with acts of grace,
And walk in truth in every place.
Seek self-control, seek peace, not strife,
Seek strength to live a humble life.
And all the things we truly need,
God gives, before we even plead.
The wicked fear, and fear comes true,
But righteous dreams, God will renew.
Unless God builds, we work in vain,
Our efforts lost like wind and rain.
Unless He guards, the watch is weak,
And peace is far, no rest we seek.
So rise not early, toil not late,
For God gives rest—it is His gift,
To those He loves, their hearts He lifts.
