There’s someone standing in between,
Between me and my enemy.
He runs to them and stirs up hate,
Then comes to me to share their fate.
He says, “Look what they’ve done to you,
Now it’s your turn—go hurt them too!”
But if I listen to his voice,
I make the wrong and foolish choice.
Don’t listen to the middle man,
He wants to break us if he can.
He’s not a friend, he plays a game,
And “Evil” is that middle man’s name.
Let’s hate the evil, not each other,
Love our neighbor, sister, brother.
Return the good, walk in the light,
Let love and truth be our fight.
Sometimes evil speaks inside,
Whispers, “Go, take back your pride.”
It makes us angry, cold, and rough,
But listening once is more than enough.
Should we let evil take control,
And let it poison heart and soul?
Or stand up strong and rise above,
With kindness, mercy, faith, and love?
Don’t listen to the middle man,
He wants to break us if he can.
He’s not a friend, he plays a game,
And “Evil” is that middle man’s name.
Let’s hate the evil, not each other,
Love our neighbor, sister, brother.
Return the good, walk in the light,
Let love and truth be our fight.
The fear of God means hating wrong—
Pride and lies don’t make us strong.
So when we’re hurt, we’ll still choose peace,
And let the chains of anger cease.
Don’t listen to the middle man,
He wants to break us if he can.
But God is love, and love is strong,
It helps us walk where we belong.
Let’s hate the evil, not each other,
Love our neighbor, sister, brother.
Return the good, walk in the light,
With hearts made clean and spirits bright.
