Out the Mud

From the porch to the hustle, we rising with the dawn

No father’s shadow, just my brothers and mom

Life threw the chaos, but we stayed strong

Now we're climbing heights where we belong

Grew up fast, no time to rest, had to grow wise

Saw the struggle, felt the pain behind these tired eyes

Two older brothers, my guide, my shield, my pride

Held it down, kept my head high, never crumbled inside

Helped my mom with bills, late nights, early mornings

Learned how to survive, no time for warning

Exposed to the real, the life that leaves scars

But it made us warriors, reaching for the stars

From the mud we rose, broke free from the chains

Chasing the dream, fighting through the pain

Every hurdle, every loss, made us who we are

Stars in the making, destined to go far

Ran up a check, out the mud, we shining now

From the streets to the top, gotta figure how

To make it out alive, to where we belong

Rising above the past, singing our song

Life’s a battle, but we’re soldiers, we ain’t backing down

Every scar a story, every bruise a crown

Looked the devil in the eye, never bowed
