I hear all these grumblings and whispers
Of a land where we’re promised to be.
But I’ve only ever seen wilderness.
It’s desert as far as I see.
Cause in the midst of the desert, I’ve seen water from rocks.
I’ve seen manna appear in the sand.
I’ve seen pillars of fire, and I looked on in wonder
As we walked through the sea on dry land.
And I’ve never liked this season of wandering,
But as I look at the rocks that I’ve placed,
It seems there’s direction to wherever we’re going
And the wilderness that we all face.
Cause in the midst of the desert, I’ve seen water from rocks.
I’ve seen manna appear in the sand.
I’ve seen pillars of fire, and I looked on in wonder
As we walked through the sea on dry land.
If seeing is believing
Then I believe what I’ve seen
But what he did for them
Was different for me
Cause in the midst of the desert, I’ve seen water from rocks.
I’ve seen manna appear in the sand.
I’ve seen pillars of fire, and I looked on in wonder
As we walked through the sea on dry land.
When I’ve felt all alone
He reached out to me
Even when I pushed him further away
He’s wiped every tear and silenced every fear
So I beg him, “Lord, Stay”
Cause in the midst of the desert, I’ve seen water from rocks.
I’ve seen manna appear in the sand.
I’ve seen pillars of fire, and I looked on in wonder
As we walked through the sea on dry land.
And when I wasn’t enough
For the challenges I faced
He’d be there whenever I’d fall.
I have no other questions, Just one final confession:
Jesus, you are Lord of all
Jesus, you are Lord of all
