Growing up

They say it’s for the better

Tell me why is it so heavy

Tell me was the pain necessary

Time keeps passing by

We’re all getting older

You can see it in our eyes

The toll this world has taken

The lessons we have learned

From the dark

Fighting thru the thorns

Scars over my body that no one can see anymore

But still I’m getting older
