Cursed Angel

Wings clipped, but I’m flying through the pain.

A cursed angel, drowning in acid rain.

Halo cracked, my shadow stained.

Painkiller back, but the hurt remains.

Born with a mark, scars that never fade.

Golden light dimmed, now I walk the shade.

Feathers charred black, the heavens betrayed.

They sent me to fight, but my soul decayed.

Cursed angel, I’m bleeding through the skies.

Painkiller for the sorrow in my eyes.

Chains on my wings, I can’t even rise.

But I’ll fight, even broken, ‘til the sun dies.

They pray for me, but prayers fall flat.

Dirt on my robe, devil’s hand in the chat.

Halo heavy, it’s a crooked artifact.

Trying to heal, but the past always attacks.

I hear whispers, venom in the wind.

Judged by the sins I didn’t begin.

A fallen soldier, but I’ll never give in.
