Thank God It's Today

Here we go, under the neon lights,

A little wild, but everything feels right.

Friendship’s calling, can’t leave it behind,

Today’s the day, I’m glad I changed my mind.

With a face painted like a carnival scene,

Hatchet in hand, I’m riding this crazy dream.

Switchblade’s tucked, but I’m feeling so free,

Chainsaw buzzing with my wild family.

Everybody said I was losing my mind,

But they don’t know love, the real kind.

These friends by my side, they lift me up high,

In this rock and roll world, I choose to fly.
