Time is short

As I sit at the park the same one that I grew up at I think about my life, it's been one hell of a ride, I did it with pride,

as I write this song I watch my youngest play at the same place I was once raised.

oh have things changed from since back in the day.

where I used to run and play , he is now doing the same old thing,

time goes by oh so fast just seems like yesterday I was drinking from the hose did not come back home until the street light glowed now it's my time to watch him grow oh where this time go oh where this time go they grow up so so fast oh I don't know what the future has in store but with a blink of an eye time will fly by.

so enjoy the time you have, because your kids grow up oh so fast you don't want to miss watching them grow, by worrying about the past.

time goes by oh so fast, it's a little moment that you can't get back... it's a little thing.. it's a little thing... so just sit back watch them grow cuz tomorrow will be a different show.

you never know how long you got so just sit back and watch children grow make sure you teach them right from wrong because you never know what the future holds, just hope they don't go down the same road that way and don't hit the same potholes so they can watch their own children grow
