"Back to Belief"

I was close to the edge, thunder in the sky

A tree fell near me, I shoulda said goodbye

Robbers at my head, gun against my fate

Whispered in my soul, “God, open me a gate”

If I go, take me whole, if I stay, let me grow

Then a voice inside said, “Run, you’re not alone”

Mom prayed at dawn, dogs vanished in fear

That’s when I knew Heaven was near

Ten years old, like Samuel's name

He called me twice, I ain’t never been the same

I'm going back, back to my belief

Where the miracles rise and the doubts gotta leave

You saved me once, twice, a thousand times

Now I’m ready to live like the purpose is mine

No more hiding in shame, I'm done with the pain

Trusting God again, in sunshine or rain

Backpacks full of truth, Bibles in the night

They gave it back, said, “This don't feel right”

That’s power in the Word, divine in disguise

God turned thieves to messengers before our eyes

I was lost in the world, pretending to blend

Denied You in school, just to fit in with friends

But You taught me loss brings truth to light

Not everyone stays when you walk in the right

Now I see, You were always by my side

Even in the shadows, You were my guide

I'm going back, back to my belief

Where the miracles rise and the doubts gotta leave

Now I’m ready to live like the purpose is mine

No more hiding in shame, I'm done with the pain

Trusting God again, in sunshine or rain

Deleted the poison, left what broke me

Emptied my hands, so Your grace could hold me

From dark rooms to morning light

I'm not afraid to fight the good fight

Bible in my hands, tears on my sleeve

You turned my pain into what I believe

This is my faith story, not just a phase

Every fall, every bruise became a praise

Now I walk in truth, not fear or disguise

If He saved me from death, He’ll open your skies

I’m going back, back to my belief

Where the Spirit moves and the soul finds peace

You saved me once, twice, a thousand times

Now I’m shining bright ‘cause this light is mine

No more silence, no more doubt

I’m trusting God again, there’s no turning around

From lost to found, from fear to flame

I carry the cross, I honor His name

Every step I take, every breath I breathe

I’m back to belief, and finally, I’m free.
