Everybody’s got a song

Everybody’s walking down some road

Carrying a story nobody knows

Some wear smiles, some wear pain

Some cry to God in the pouring rain

You can’t see the scars on a soul inside

Or the prayers someone prayed late at night

So don’t judge a book by the cover you see

God’s still writing their story like He did for me

Looking back down that winding line

I see His hand in every time

Everybody’s got a song to sing

About broken roads and the hope He brings

About the dark turning into light

About the day God made it right

Ain’t no such thing as chance in this life

God’s got perfect, perfect timing every time

So lift your voice and let it be strong

Every soul alive has got a song

People only know what life has shown

Some never had a faith of their own

Some never heard that grace runs deep

Or that Jesus saves the lost like me

So it’s alright to say His name

Tell them love is stronger than shame

One small seed in a searching heart

Might be the place a miracle starts

And the more I live the more I see

God was working patiently
