Right on time

Yeah…
I thought I had life figured out…
Turns out God was just waiting on the right moment.


I was burning down a two-lane road
With a heart too hard to feel
Barroom smoke and neon lights
Trying to numb what’s real
Every mile took me farther out
From the man I should’ve been
But mercy waits in patient love
Even on the edge of sin


I was holding on to pride
Till grace hit me from the inside

’Cause His timing is everything
Like thunder rolling when the angels sing
When my faith was barely holding on the line
He showed up right on time
Yeah the chains fall off when His love moves in
And the lost get found and the blind see again
When the night felt like it would never shine
God showed up… right on time

I remember that midnight prayer
Hands shaking, tears and shame
Didn’t hear a voice from heaven
Just peace when I called His name
Like a sunrise through a storm
Breaking through my stubborn mind
Turns out God was working
While I was wasting time

Every road that led me wrong
Was the road that brought me home

’Cause His timing is everything

I was begging for a miracle
Didn’t know what He’d do
But every prayer in the darkness
He was already moving through
Yeah I thought heaven was silent
But He was writing my line
Every step that I stumbled
Led to His perfect time


A little late by my clock…
But never late by His

’Cause His timing is everything
Like a choir rising when the church bells ring
When my hope was barely hanging by a line
He showed up right on time
Yeah the doors He opens nobody can close
And His grace keeps saving a broken soul
When the road felt like the end of the line
God showed up… right on time


Through the hurt… through the climb…
I learned one thing in this life…

God’s always… right on time.
