You see, I was never too concerned with school
I'd rather have fun and do things that I think are cool
Some people call me crazy, some call me a fool
But while I’m out living life, you hitting books like they a Juul
All for you to get a job at base level
And you telling me if I don't get my act together that imma face trouble
I’m all about going against the grain and being a system rebel
Because ever since a young age we have been raised to focus on our grades
If we aren't academic with our brains then we won't get paid
And if we don't go to college then we won't get a raise
I mean seriously, what's the rave? What's to crave about chasing the next wage
I turned the page and I disengaged
You don’t need college to amass a great wealth
All you need is creativity, perseverance, some hard working, dedication, and consistency and you can get it yourself
I never saw the appeal of being on the bottom and having a head boss you can’t reach like a top shelf
Why would I waste 50 years of my life working for someone else?
We only get one life, and all we care about is money?
They lure us into the system like a bear chasing honey
And then trap us, but we submissive, so they drain us until we nothing
They say i need to study, but i disagree
I’m a student right now and they got me learning subjects that I won't use, its abuse and I object
I wish I sent my acceptance letter back with a reject and as a current student I’m about to hit eject
I mean let’s look at the dialect of the college prospect
Talking corporate jargon, and this I won’t accept
They got us reading books and writing essays on useless topics
But all us kids are sheep and we’re blind and need bioptics
To see that we are being used as corporate objects
We are lost in the sea full of people chasing the same thing but this not the tropics
All these useless courses that they’re teaching we need to drop it
I don’t mean to sound preachy, but c'mon we need to stop this
Eighty years, that’s the average life span
Everybody wants to be the wise man, but nobody wants to live life man
Someone who actually lived happily, while others threw their lives away, it’s sad to see
But it couldn't be me, I broke out of the restraints
I’ve faced enough pain of people telling me I can’t
Then talk about college going off on a rant
How I would never make it without that college plan
But think about the debt
Think about the business opportunities instead
Think of the 4 years that you’d be losing all that bread
Imma tell you what the system tells us, just use your head
Please, think about what I’ve said
