Imagine a girl in bondage, surrounded by a stone wall called fear. It was built by the lies of the enemy ever since she was a child. She grew up with the constant fears of being rejected, that her family would fall apart, and that she would be abandoned by the ones she loved the most.
The wall was built too high and too strong for her to take down. Black shadows with red eyes, piercing teeth and monster-like claws constantly taunted her. “You’re too small and weak. You’re worthless. You will never be heard. You’ll always be alone. You’ll never be able to break down the wall.”
Feeling trapped, she cried. Praying for freedom and the voice of truth. Light appeared and shined as it burned away the shadows of fear.
Someone, who’s radiance that was brighter than the sun, walked towards her. With a gentle voice he spoke to her:
“My love, Fear is a liar. I have never left your side. I have seen you through your darkest night. I have loved you all of your life.” he told her softly and wiped away her tears. With these words, her bondage was broken and the wall came tumbling down.
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
