Mad we locked doors you set on fire

A clean slate with nothing there

But accountability’s not a phase

And respect doesn’t come retroactively.

You don’t get to act like a child

Then scream when you’re treated like a liability

You don’t get to lie, betray, manipulate

Then act shocked when doors close on your reality

That’s not cruelty — that’s survival

That’s not hate — that’s self-respect

We didn’t turn our backs

We just stopped letting dysfunction live rent-free in our lives.

Family isn’t a title

It’s a behavior

And safety beats nostalgia

Every single time

We didn’t cut you off in anger

We let you go in clarity.
