I Know That Day Is Coming

I still remember that day

The Savior called my name

I was washed in the blood

I’m no longer filled with shame

He cleansed me from my sin

And claims me as His own

One day I’ll go to Heaven

And stand before His throne

My name is written there

In the Lamb’s book of life

My sin debt has been paid

Through Jesus sacrifice

Nothing can remove me

From the hollow of His hand

I have a mansion there

Waiting up in Glory Land

I know that day is coming

When the trumpets all will sound

Don’t bother looking for me

Cause I’ll be Heaven bound

I know that day is coming

Though I don’t know when or where

I’ll leave this earthly body

And join Him in the air

I know that day is coming

So get your soul prepared

Ask Jesus into your heart

Don’t be caught unaware

One day I’ll meet my Jesus

I’ll see him face to face

And I’ll bask in the glory

Of His amazing grace

Filled with an undying joy

I’ll dance just like King David

I’ll fall down at His feet

And start to sing his praises
