"New Philippines!" — that's what they all shout,

But bodies line the streets, what's that all about?

Kids are scared, guns in the alley,

While promises echo in every damn rally.

Crime on the right, corruption on the left,

Speak your truth loud — you might end up dead.

Chaos everywhere, like a film gone wrong,

But there’s no hero here, just a never-ending song.

New Philippines? Sounds shiny and clean,

But we’re losing this game, if you know what I mean.

They talk about hope, a brand new day,

But it’s all just mess in a prettier display.

At the top they pose, drama and pride,

While families starve on the street side.

New slogans, new flags, same old play,

Justice is missing — must’ve run away.

If you're poor, you rot; if you're rich, you pass,

Tell the truth once, and they’ll break your glass.

Sirens wail on every street bend,

But no help arrives when you need a friend.

New Philippines? Just old in disguise,

Same puppets moving, just swapped the lies.

They promise a sunrise, but all I see

Is chaos left and right — no peace, no plea.

Oh Philippines, when will you wake?

Your children are tired, how much more can they take?

Left and right, the noise won't cease,

But maybe one day… we’ll march for peace.
