The fairies danced the night away
Drinking their spirits
Happy and free.
Till a woman came toiling down the lane.
Kneeling before stones
That hid the fairy world.
From her hands she placed
A feather white as snow
And a feather dark as night.
One Plucked from the purest of creatures
And the other from one misunderstood
These two offerings she bared before her
"I wish a Dove of my own
Shinning bright as the sun.
Pure as the morning that bore it.
And a Raven
Dark as the night
With the moon to guide its path always"
In this simple request
the fairies granted the wish.
What was to pass
would come swift.
First the Dove
She was born.
Hair as golden as the sun
Heart as Pure as the morning
Eyes as blue as the sky.
She grew and grew
Her wonder knew no bounds.
The woman nearly forgot her Raven
Content with the Dove
Who made her days wonderful.
But the fairies would keep their promise.
Years later came her Raven.
Hair as dark as it's feather,
Skin glowing like the moon
Eyes beaming and blue.
He completed her wish
So bountiful and joyous.
Misunderstood but so very loved.
As Ravens do he had so many hurtles.
But the woman smiled in happiness.
She had her Sun and Moon
Her Dove and Raven.
The fairies promise now complete
She could only happily raise
Her greatest wishes.
