Closing the Final Chapter

Whispered shadows drown the light, lost inside this endless night

A heavy heart, a shattered soul, crawling for some kind of hope

Once I stood so tall and strong, faced the darkness all along

Fought my battles, fought my fears, but the pain still drawing near

Tears have fallen like a rain, echoes of a wasted pain

Leaving scars I can't erase, drowning in this cold, dark space

But I pray, I forgive, I let go of what I can't forget

Through the tears and endless pain, I ask the Lord to hold my name

And I’m tired of fighting shadows, tired of the pain inside

Severed dreams and broken promises, no more tears to cry

Laying down my heavy burdens, surrender to the night

No more heartache, no more scars, just slipped into the light

If I could turn back time, rewrite what was mine

Would the pain still find me, or would I finally be free?

In these final moments, I lay down my fears

Release my soul to peace, though I cry tears in a silent plea

Forgive me, Lord, for the choice I made, I am tired, I am weary

Take me in your arms, save me from this pain, I am no longer strong, no longer brave

Lay my heart to rest, let my soul be healed, I surrender now, I am finally done

In your grace I find release, into your love I run, forever one
