The fat is not for man to take,
Nor for the prideful heart to break.
Leviticus 3:16 says plain and clear:
“All the fat is the Lord’s,” revere.
So do not seek self-glory's flame,
Do not exalt your earthly name.
For pride, like fat, must be burned away—
Let the Lord alone receive the praise.
Proverbs 16:18 warns us still:
“Pride goes before destruction,” and will.
A haughty spirit brings the fall—
So better to be meek and small.
So take no fat for selfish gain,
Let not your heart grow proud or vain.
Let every honor rise above—
Give glory to the God of love.
Isaiah 42:8 declares God's right:
“My glory I give to no other,” bright.
He is the One who lifts the low,
Who humbles kings and makes seeds grow.
And guard all life with trembling grace,
For blood reflects the Maker’s face.
Deuteronomy 12:23 speaks strong and deep:
“You shall not eat the blood,” for the soul it keeps.
So walk in awe, O child of dust,
Be slow to boast and quick to trust.
The fat is His, the life He gave—
Let reverence mark the way you behave.
