How to make a song in your own voice
1.Record a clean clip
Sing for 20 to 40 seconds with no music behind you, in a quiet room, close to the mic. Upload it as WAV, MP3, M4A or OGG, up to 10 MB.
2.Create your voice
In your library, open Voices and add a new voice with the clip. It stays in your account for the songs you make after.
3.Make the song
Describe the song or paste your own lyrics, and create it as usual.
4.Cover it with your voice
On the finished song, choose Cover with your voice, pick your voice and set the mix. The cover usually takes two to three minutes and lands in your library.
Why sing it in your own voice
A song for a partner, a lullaby for your child, a demo of something you wrote: each one means more in your voice. You do not have to be a strong singer. The clip gives Zona the character of your voice, and the song provides the melody.
Use a voice you have the right to use
Create voices from your own singing, or from someone who has given you permission. A voice is personal, and a cover in somebody else's voice needs their consent.

Sing, do not talk
Sustained notes and a few sung lines capture more of your voice than speech does.
No backing track
Music, reverb and room noise in the clip end up in the voice. Record dry.
Use your natural range
Sing where you are comfortable. The cover follows the song's melody, and the mix controls let you balance the result.
