Hindsight hit me in the silence after you.

I was lost inside the high of every "we forever" line,

You was feedin' me the fantasy while livin' double time.

Gave my soul to empty promises that never held no weight,

Now I see the mask you wore, and I was just a pawn in play.

Nowadays I move different, heart protected by the scars,

No more chasin' butterflies that turn to daggers in the dark.
