We done walked through storms with no place to hide,

Cold nights, empty pockets, but you stayed by my side.

Had days full of hurt, had nights full of tears,

But somehow your love kept fighting through the years.

We were counting every dollar, praying bills would disappear,

Trying to hold it all together while drowning in fear.

You still carried hope inside your beautiful heart.

Nancy, you got strength most people never see,

A soul full of grace, and love that rescued me.

Even when I failed you, you found room to forgive,

You taught me what it really means to live.

Nancy, you mean the whole world to me,

You’re my answered prayer, my peace, my destiny.

Through the struggle, through the pain, through nights we fell apart,

God blessed me with an angel carrying a warrior’s heart.

After everything we’ve been through, standing strong and true,

I’m forever thankful… forever blessed with you.

We’ve seen broken promises, felt love hanging by a thread,

Had nights we slept angry, with heavy hearts in bed.

Said things we regret, left scars deep inside,

But somehow your forgiveness kept our flame alive.

You found light in darkness when I couldn’t find my way,

Held me when I was weak, gave me reason to stay.

Like heaven put its healing right there in your face.

From the dirt roads of struggle, from surviving on faith,

From almost saying goodbye, to being held in your embrace.
