Shadowwolf's Prayer

Born into shadows, yet dream of the moon,

A gift from heaven, a hope to find soon.

Can’t shake the pain, it whispers so cruel,

But I still believe, I won't be a fool.

They look at me and see what’s broken,

But inside, my spirit’s unspoken.

Told I’m less, that I don’t belong,

Yet in my heart, I hear a song.

Oh, God above, I’m reaching out,

In this silence, I scream and shout.

Why am I cursed, why am I spared,

To carry pain that’s so unfair?

Why, God, why must I suffer so?

Can’t I just be a wolf, let the whole world know?

A pack to call my own, a home where I fit,

Shadowfang, Shadowmoon, I won’t quit.

See me as a hero, brave and true,

Like those we look up to, shining through.

In my dreams, I run wild free,

How I long to be who I want to be.

No more chains, no more shame,

Just a wolf with a hero’s name.

Father in heaven, I miss you so,

Can’t you see—I need to go home.

Why, God, why must I suffer so?

Can’t I just be a wolf, let the whole world know?

A pack to call my own, a home where I fit,

Shadowfang, Shadowmoon, I won’t quit.

Giving up my name, a gift in shadow,

To be who I am, let the truth flow.

Not unworthy, just misunderstood,

In my heart, I know I could.

So I ask again, with hope and fear,

“Why can’t I just be a wolf, my dear?”

Guide me to my pack, let me belong,
