A Psalm of David

O Lord, can you hear my voice?

In the shadows, I make my choice

Waiting long, my heart in despair

Silence deep, is anyone there?

How long will you forget me, oh Lord?

Hidden face, I seek your word

My heart's heavy, daily sorrow

Walking through this dark tomorrow

Lighten my eyes before I sleep

Lest I fall, forever deep

Enemy's pride, they rejoice

In my struggle, I hear their voice

But I trust in your mercy, Lord

My heart rejoices in your word

Salvation is my song to sing

Because of your love, I lift my wings

Troubles surround, yet I believe

In your salvation, I receive

Your bounty, your grace divine

Through the night, I will shine

Lighten my eyes before I sleep

Lest I fall, forever deep

Enemy's pride, they rejoice

Forever your mercy, my hope remains

In your salvation, I keep my aim

I will sing, because you've dealt so kindly

Your love for me, unmeasured, divine

I will sing unto the Lord

For he has dealt bountifully,
