Darkness creeping, shadows in my mind

Echoes of the beast, I’m trying to leave behind

I just wanna go and leave before he’s released

A struggle in my chest, a never-ending feast

Lift my sleeve, see the scars that he’s released

Trying to find a peace, but I’m torn in the least

Feel it coming out, I can hear the growl

My arms are bleeding, I’m tired of pleading

Caught in a battle I can't deny

Trying to find my lullaby

Instead I’m carving out my eyes

Open my eyes, see the blinding light

Heart pounding loud in the endless night

Tears fall down, my only fight

Hoping for peace, for this dark to right

So I lie here crying, longing for the sky
