Good Guys with Guns (Trained This Shooter)
Oh, praise the Lord and pass the ammo,
Step Mom’s got a badge and a gun—bravo!
Raised in a house where “safety” means steel,
Who needs empathy when you can conceal?
They said, “Just arm the children, that’s the plan!”
Teach them to salute, obey, and shoot when they can.
No need for questions, just lessons at the range—
If he’s got hate in his heart, well, that’s not so strange.
Step Mom kept the halls safe, that’s what they all say,
A “good guy with a gun” to keep the danger away.
She wore the badge for school safety, her mission crystal clear—
Yet missed the hate at home, right under her nose, year after year.
Chorus:
Good guys with guns, what a glorious sight,
Training tomorrow’s headlines in broad daylight.
Thoughts and prayers, but no one cares,
Because thoughts and prayers are not actions—just empty airs.
As long as we’re armed, we’re safe from our fears,
But nothing will change, not for years and years.
Peers saw the warning, but what do they know?
They don’t have a badge or a show on the road.
Racist rants? Just locker room fun—
Boys will be boys, till the damage is done.
It wasn’t the “good guys” in uniform who saw what was wrong,
But a group of students in a political club all along.
They heard the white supremacy, the hate, and the lies,
And kicked him out fast—no badge, just clear eyes.
While the resource officer kept training, “safety” her claim,
The kids did the real work, and called out his name.
It’s hard to believe this hate didn’t come from home,
When the warning signs flourished and no adult was shown.
So much for the heroes, the training, the guns—
It was children, not cops, who protected their chums.
Give thanks to Jesus, Rambo, and Ford,
Keep the faith loaded and justice ignored.
When kids bleed out in the Florida sun,
We’ll thank the good guys with every last gun.
New Verse:
White supremacy’s just “politics”—that’s what they say,
While hate crimes with guns happen every day.
The gun lobby cashes in on fear and the lie,
And Black kids keep dying while lawmakers sigh.
Extremists armed up for January sixth’s parade,
And the “good guys” in blue just looked the other way.
It’s not just tradition—it’s policy, too,
White power and gun rights, red, white, and blue.
Mass shootings, hate crimes, the numbers are clear:
White supremacists kill most every year.
But don’t ask the “good guys” to change how it’s done—
They’re just training the next one to carry the gun.
Bridge:
Who needs compassion, or mental health checks?
Just polish your holster and cash those paychecks.
Protecting the children? That’s just for show—
Thoughts and prayers are not actions, but let’s all pretend so.
So here’s to the programs, so noble and grand,
Where the answer to violence is a gun in your hand.
Protecting the children? That’s just for fun—
Because “good guys with guns” trained this one.
Now explain to me who really won .
