Chasing the Dream Beyond Green

Chasing visions in my mind, a world unseen, a different kind

Craving something more than just the scene, a neon glow, a shining beam

Now that I’m getting older, wisdom’s starting to mold, yet I still chase a dream untold

They say I need to reach a higher plane, a goal unseen, to break free from the mundane

But all my focus, all I find, is in a little green that’s on my mind

A temptation, a desire, a theme, that keeps me chasing just that green

It’s a battle, it’s a fight, between what’s wrong and what’s right

Trying to break out, trying to find, that higher dream that’s in my mind

I’m caught between the real and the seen, craving a world that’s in between

Yearning for a dream unseen, just me and that elusive green

Can I rise higher than the scene, or am I forever trapped in the routine?

All I want is to be lean, but it’s hard when I’m chasing that green

Maybe someday I’ll understand, that dreams are more than just a demand

Beyond the green and the temptation, lies a higher revelation

Still, I’m driven by the need, to chase a glow, a different feed

But deep inside I know, that climbing higher isn’t just about the green

So I’ll keep dreaming, keep on trying, reaching for a brighter sky, more than just lying

One day I’ll see the true, unseen, beyond that green, that elusive dream
