The morning after

You pour the coffee

Ask if I slept

I say that "I'm fine"

But my brain is a wreck

This house is a mess

And we’re not getting any rest

It Feels like we're ghosts

Haunting this room

The impending doom that’s in this room

I don't know when to leave

don't know when to stay and bleed

this a cold war

What are we even fighting for ?

I can't tell if all of this hurt

Means we still got something worth

Fighting for

Or letting go

Too late to leave

Too soon to know

You say we're "working"

But we just work late

We Scroll on our phones

Lying back to back in the dark

The bed feels so empty

Even with you here with me

I miss the person

You used to be

Every fight feels like a stab

Every kiss feels like

A coin that flips

Are we breaking in the middle

Or just bending at the tips

If I walk out

Will I miss you

Or make a bigger issue

If I stay here

Will I save us

Or just complicate us
