How is it possible to love someone I've never even met?

Haven't heard their voice or seen them smile

Yet I can't possibly seem to forget?

How can I feel such heartfelt love

Even though we're far apart?

It's because of my son who lets me know

Both you girls live deep in his heart!

Because whenever our children are happy

You know nothing else takes that place... Regardless we haven't spoken yet...

Haven't seen each other's face!

It's because my son, who has tried each day

To make sure I'm fully aware

How happy he is just being with you

And how intensely both of you care.

Then the bonus: a sweet little girl!

In a moment you happen to realize..

That she'll be in your life for years to come,

Joyful tears pool in your eyes.

"Love makes a family not blood" is my phrase

I drilled into my boys from the start

It makes no difference the blood in our veins

It's the love that lives in our heart.

From what I have heard and what little I've seen

You'll be an amazing wife!

And through it all our family just grows -

How blessed are we with this life!?

Parker, the time will come sooner than not

And we'll FINALLY meet one day

Until that time, please remember the words

That my boys and I always say:

"Love makes a family, not blood," (that's so true)

Plus "We live in each other's heart"

"Steps belong ON a house, NOT in a family,"

And "I've loved you right from the start!"
