This is our home, our sacred ground, where we understand,

Malama Aina, that’s the ultimate goal.

On this island paradise, we cherish every creature,

Endangered or not, they’re part of our nature,

Tourists come and go, but remember what’s true,

Respect the land, the waters, and the creatures too.

You throw a stone at our monk seal, thought it was alright?

Think again, this is our home, respect the land, take flight.

Malama aina, cherish every single piece,

Cultural pride, let love and respect increase.

Respect our aina, respect our culture,

Honor the land and sea, let’s bring the vulture,

Of entitlement and disregard, down to the ground,

We stand united, strong, proud, and sound.

This soil, this sand, these waters, belong to us,

We’re the stewards, the guardians, we do what we must,

To protect and preserve, to keep the legacy alive,

So if you come to Hawai’i, come with respect at heart,
