I thank you for my life,

You are always by my side,

Dear Jesus..

I want for nothing less,

My life has been a mess..

I only wish,

yes,

That I could just see your face,

As my mind begins to race.

Dear Jesus..

I am in awe by your grace and mercy,

Yet I am a sinner..

does heaven deserve me..

I am the sheep that’s lost in my ways,

And yet you say I’ll be okay..

you bring me closer to your chest,

I close my eyes and begin to rest,

You keep painting the vision,

that you died for me,

A sinner lost in darkness,

Yet you set me free..

They took your life,

Then you breathe in me,

A whole new heart..

A whole new mind..

Now I believe..

What I still don’t understand,

is that they mocked you,

A king sent from God,

and yet they locked you.

Yet even while they did this..

You still asked God’s forgiveness..

As they nailed your hands and feet,

That’s when you thought of me..

I still tend to wander off forgetting,

I start it all over from beginning,

I close my eyes and begin to breathe,

Blessed is the one who has not seen..

And yet believed..
