Winter Has Claimed Them

Sitting here reflecting on memories from my past

Friends and relationships that I thought would always last

Now like leaves in the fall...the wind blew them away.....

Winter is here now and I'm afraid it's here to stay......I'm all alone

Winds whisper memories I can't hold onto

Fading like footprints lost in the snow

I reach out for voices that once felt like home

But winter has claimed them, and I'm on my own

The echoes of laughter now haunted these halls

Faces grow distant, their names I recall

Promises faded like the dusk and the dew

I'm left with the Silence, and memories of you
