CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION & PERSONAL STORY
We are Patrick JJra Strongman.
We are 28, and we are 18.
We were adopted at birth.
We live with a severe trauma disorder called Dissociative Identity Disorder.
It went misdiagnosed for 24 years.
Our story is not just one story.
It’s a system of lives, experiences, and identities—built through survival.
It’s a lifetime lived across fragments, all trying to hold onto love in a world that forgot what love really means.
We didn’t know who we were.
We were told to be someone else.
We were labeled, drugged, institutionalized, and misunderstood.
We were forced into silence.
Forced into compliance.
Forced into systems that harmed us instead of helping us.
But here’s the truth:
We survived.
Through years of chaos, confusion, abuse, and abandonment—we held onto something.
Something powerful.
Something ancient.
Something real.
Love.
