The Light That Saved Me

In the dark, I was lost, shadows all around

Struggling with my fears, trembling on the ground

But something pulled me close, whispered in my ear

A voice so clear, erased my pain and fear

Kneeling on the floor, tears falling like rain

Thought I was done, drowning in my pain

A knife at my neck, life slipping away

Then I opened a book, found my brighter day

It wasn’t just words, it was hope reborn

A light in my darkness, a new dawn

Though I have sins, I’m not proud to own

His grace covers me, I’m never alone

I was saved by a hope I couldn’t see

A love so deep, it set me free

It’s not about the rules, or what I can do

It’s about what He’s done, and what is true

I don’t control the road I’m on

His hands guide me, when I’m gone

Trusting in His plan, I come alive

With faith in my heart, I survive

So I tell you now, my story’s real

A power unseen, but I can feel

In my weakness, He made me strong

His grace, my song, my lifelong song
