Prompt / Lyrics
Here’s the story of my first go-around, How the doctors and cancer nearly put me down. Always advocate for yourself… ’Cause they’re only practicin’ medicine. Four months of chemical infusions, I went through some heavy confusion. Seventeen cycles of radiation, Put my body through a transition… They’re only practicin’ medicine… They misdiagnosed me, I can’t believe they did, Told ’em they were wrong, I’m lucky to still live. They’re only practicin’ medicine… They put me through real hell, I was lucky to ring the bell, But the issues that I had, they never tried to address ’em well. They’re only practicin’ medicine… That infection never raised my white cell count, But they still claimed they had the clout. They’re only practicin’ medicine… In the end I almost died, just because they didn’t try, I prevailed but it’s a sin, what they put me through again. They’re only practicin’ medicine
