Clucky and Confused

Cluck-cluck, oh what a feathered friend,

A chicken who just can't comprehend,

He's a little lost in his own little world,

A one-of-a-kind chick, yes, that's my pearl!

Wakes up every morning with a puzzled look,

Stares at the sky, then reads his book,

His head's tilting like he's got a twist,

My silly old chicken, got me amused.

He pecks at the air, thinks it's a feast,

Dreams of being a mighty beast,

But he's just flapping around in the yard,

My feathered friend, a little bit bizarre.

Oh, silly chicken, where's your sense?

You're lost in your own chicken nonsense,

Cluck so loud but don’t know what for,

Laughing at him, I could do this all day long.

Cracks eggs but forgets what they’re for,

Chases butterflies through the barn door,

He’s got no game, just a goofy strut,

My feathered fool, oh what a nut!

He dances in circles, spins around,

Turns his head upside down,

Living life in his chicken cloud,

I swear he's the funniest in the town.

Oh, silly chicken, where's your sense?

You're lost in your own chicken nonsense,

Cluck so loud but don’t know what for,

Laughing at him, I could do this all day long.

Maybe he's dreaming of the chicken crown,

Or chasing some invisible clown,

But I wouldn't trade him for anything,

My goofy little chicken, my laugh to sing.

So here’s to the chicken, so odd and sweet,

Puts the 'cluck' in crazy, can't be beat,

In his little world he’s king of the hill,

My beloved chicken, always a thrill.
