Tonight's the night, I gotta get away

Try to leave those shadows behind, not think about what they say

'til I fall again, running from the truth

So caught up in the good times, forgetting what I knew

I lace up these boots, hit the neon light

Forget about my worries, dance into the night

Deep down I know this isn’t right

But the buzz feels so good, it’s hard to fight

Eyes closed tight, blocking out the sound

Pretending I can’t hear what’s all around

But I see the tears falling down

And I know I’m lost and I’m breaking down

I'm going out again tonight, trying not to think about God

Running from what’s inside, chasing fire and stars

I know I’m heading south, but I don’t wanna see the end

Maybe I’ll crash and burn, but I just wanna feel alive again

Mirror tells the truth, I see the pain

In the flashing lights, I forget my name

Wanna escape, wanna be free

But this empty life keeps haunting me

But they catch me in the dark
