Thank You, Jesus

Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of life

For turning darkness into light

For shaping me into who I am

A teacher with a heart in Your hands

I was lost, wandering alone in the night

Feeling broken, searching for what was right

Then You found me, showed me mercy and grace

Now I stand here, a life redeemed by Your embrace

Every child I’ve met, a story to tell

A chance to love, to lead, to help them excel

You gave me purpose, You answered my prayer

Now I see Your plan, I know You’re always there

Thank you, Jesus, for reshaping my soul

For making me whole, for making me whole

Every lesson, every tear, every smile

You’ve been with me all the while

Thank you, Lord, for the life I live

A purpose You give, a purpose You give

Now I look back with grateful eyes

Seeing how You turned my lows into highs

There were times when I was stressed not knowing what to do

You gave me the strength to see it through

And when this work began to weigh

A student's smile would make my day

Every child I’ve met, a story to tell
