Inside THE Noise

There’s a war behind my eyes

That nobody can see

A thousand voices screaming

What they want me to be

Some days I feel invincible

Some days I can’t get out of bed

I fight battles in the silence

With a storm inside my head

They say, “Just calm down”

They say, “Just let it go”

But they don’t feel the weight

Of everything I know

I’m more than every thought

That tells me I’m not enough

I’m learning how to breathe

When the world gets fucking rough

I LIVE WITH THE NOISE!

But the noise doesn’t own me!

I WALK THROUGH THE FIRE

Even when it controls me!

I CARRY THESE SCARS

But they don’t define my name

I’m still here!

I’m still fighting!

I’m still standing in the flames!

There are nights I disappear

Inside a crowded room

Smiling like I’m fine

While I’m drowning in the gloom

I’ve questioned every heartbeat

I’ve doubted every breath

But somewhere underneath it

There’s a part of me left

I’ve learned that healing isn’t weakness

And asking isn’t shame

Sometimes making it to morning

Is a victory in itself

But they don’t define my name

SOME DAYS ARE DARK!

SOME DAYS I SEE LIGHT!

I WILL NOT HATE

EVERY PART OF ME!

I’LL LEARN TO LIVE

WITH WHAT I CANNOT DELETE!

Maybe I’ll never silence

Every voice inside my head

Maybe I’ll have darker days

Before the dark has finally fled

But I don’t have to beat it

All in one night

I only have to keep moving

Toward another sunrise

I LIVE WITH THE NOISE!

But the noise doesn’t own me!

I’VE WALKED THROUGH THE FIRE

And it never destroyed me!

I CARRY THESE SCARS

And I’m done being ashamed

I’m still here!

I’m still breathing!

And I’m taking back my name!

The storm is still inside me...

But so is the strength.

I AM NOT MY MIND.
